Botolinum Toxin

In Costa Rica we mainly use BOTOX®, SIAX® and DYSPOR®; these kind of botulinum toxins comes from different laboratories with different formulas but all of them have a similar effect, as long as they are used correctly.

This toxine produces a paralyzing effect on the muscles of the applyied area, which blocks the movements on this area. This makes disappear the expression lines that are formed because of the constant movement on the area, weather it is on the forehead or in the external angles of the eyes. Usually this procedures corrects these undesired features in the neck, mouth, forehead and eye area. The toxine effect may vary from peer to peer. After injected it may take up to seven days to make effect and from 3 to 6 months for the area to have normal flexibility again.

On our clinic we use a painless procedure. In one session all the face lines can be treated. When the botox is applied, the art is being able to modulate a youthful appearance to the face with no plastic appearance. The most important advantage is the youth effect almost immediate, but the most important disadvantage is that the effect is transitory.
